Improving the quality of life and autonomy of people with life-threatening illness and their families - that is the goal of palliative care. For this, symptom and pain relief is particularly important. Personal care by a trusted caregiver and an optimal specialist care are essential. Unfortunately, this is often - due to a lack of resources - not or no longer adequately possible. Thus, specialized palliative physicians are lacking in a quarter of all counties in Germany. Specialized outpatient palliative care (SAPV) is also not available in every region. This is where our telemedical solutions come in. They help improve and intensify palliative care for patients - both inpatients and outpatients.
We define a video call between a patient and his doctor as a "video consultation". The German health care system has several conditions for these calls which we all fulfill. As a result we can call ourselves "provider of certified video consultations". If the call is between a health care worker and a doctor, we define it as a "tele consultation". Unlike in video consultations, a tele consultation doesn't only involve giving out medical advise but also delegation of medical services and point of care measurements with medical gadgets for diagnostics.
